Ten Point Lakes Hunter's Association

The Ten Point Lakes Hunter's Association has existed informally for over 100 years. Until the last decade, the association was a family and close neighbour affair. Local industry consisted of logging and trapping. Farming was not easily commercial. The season was too short, the soil too thin and scattered, and the markets too far. Each generation of hunters learnt the land, the trails, and listened to the stories. Hunting was, and still is, an essential component of social and economic life.
